Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied or LCVP or FETAC/QQI Level 4 Award. Equal consideration will be given to mature applicants (those aged over 23) who do not meet these entry requirements.

Course Description
This course is designed to assist students in the development of a broad range of skills in computer graphics, video editing, interactivity, and web design. The emphasis is on using digital media for design purpose. The students explore the use of cross-platform software (Apple Macs and PCs) to plan, design and produce websites incorporating many multimedia features. Digital movies are recorded and edited using industry standard software, Premier Pro. Students create and develop a wide variety of graphics suitable for print media and the web.

Employment in this sector continues to grow rapidly and graduates in this area are very much in demand in the multimedia sector. Graduates will be competent to take up employment in the numerous multimedia related industries. Current employment opportunities lie in the areas of web design, graphic design, advertising, animation creation, digital image processing/editing and computer based training.
